Skills and Hardware ... Following are the minimum requirement to enable you to successfully take a PISD eSchool course. Skills Basic computer skills are necessary to progress normally through your online courses. It is not necessary to be an expert, but a student should know how to use the basic capabilities of a computer: the keyboard, and mouse, launch a browser, log on to the Internet, and open, close and save files on your computer’s hard drive. Hardware Processor Pentium (or higher) for PC or PowerPC (or higher) for Apple Memory 64MB RAM Display 800X600 Color Display minimum (1024X768 preferred) Hard Disk Drive 40MB available space minimum CD-ROM 8X or higher Peripherals Keyboard, mouse, sound card, and speakers Accessories Microphone for Language courses Printer Recommended, but not required. A printer will enhance your eSchool learning experience.
