Are Plano ISD eSchool courses accredited?
  Yes, the course offered through eSchool are accredited through the Plano ISD.
Can I attend Plano ISD eSchool and my regular high school at the same time?
  Yes, eSchool is designed for students currently enrolled in school, as well as students in home school. If you are currently enrolled in school and intend to take an eSchool course for graduation credit, we recommend that you contact your school counselor to gain official approval and to ensure proper recording of eSchool courses on your transcript.
What courses are available?
  Plano ISD eSchool offers a multitude of courses. Please click on the Courses button on the left to see what courses are offered.
How many eSchool courses can I take at one time?
  Students currently enrolled in Plano ISD will be allowed to take two eSchool courses at one time and may earn a total of two credits through correspondence/Plano ISD eSchool courses. We encourage you to balance your eSchool course load with your current schedule. If you are a full time student, you should consult with your school counselor to design a plan that best fits your schedule and degree plan.
Will eSchool credit transfer to another school district?
  Plano ISD eSchool credit is awarded through the Plano ISD and is completely transferable within the United States.
How long does it take to complete a course?
  Plano ISD eSchool courses are designed to be completed in a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 18 weeks.
What is the cost of tuition?
  Tuition for an eSchool course ranges from $230-$300 per semester (.5 credit). Some courses may require the purchase of additional materials not included in the tuition fee.
What is the refund policy?
  Within 15 days of the online registration, students may cancel enrollment and receive a reimbursement of tuition, as per enrollment agreement. A fee of $50 will be retained for administrative expenses. Students that have not communicated with their eSchool teacher within 30 days of registration will be dropped from the course and tuition will not be reimbursed.
What equipment will I need at my house to get started?
 

An active, functional email account with an appropriate email address that will handle file attachments of significant size.

The following are the minimum hardware and software configurations required for Plano ISD eSchool courses.


Windows Computer:
Pentium Processor and Windows 98SE or higher

Macintosh Computer:
Power PC Processor and System 9.0 or higher

All Computers:
*128 MB RAM
  *Color monitor (16 bit, 800 x 600 resolution)
  *8x or faster CD-ROM drive
  *Keyboard and mouse
  *Direct network connection or 56 bps modem with Internet access
  *Sound card and speakers
  *Hard disk with at least 40 MB available
 

*Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher and course-specific plug-ins for the browsers. Macintosh users may use Safari or IE 5.5 or higher.
*Microphone for Spanish courses

  *Microsoft Word 2000 or higher.
  *A printer is recommended and will enhance your experience in a Plano ISD eSchool course.
